Worried! why mark sheet percentage(%) matters for your future?

We have seen so many people around us ask for mark sheets percentage. Those people could be relatives, acquaintance or strangers. Sometimes, we get irritated and want to slap those who talks about the mark sheets.
If you get the reason why these people asks about your % then you will definitely work on this.
The reason we get irritated or frustrated about the term called percentage is because of following things:
  1. We are not aware about the future strategy.
  2. We do not know what are the fields to apply for job and their % criteria.
  3. People just ask % but do not explain why % matters?
  4. We can become like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg the college drop out and still ruling the globe. So, why the hell the % matters.
Let's talk in general why really marks is important?
It's not that you cannot survive without the % and it's not like that all people who are college drop out can become Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg. But the person with really good % can survive any where in the globe.

We all know that nowadays competition is very high in any of the field. We have even heard that in early time that govt. used to search the educated people and force them to become officer irrespective of their studies. But now even after struggling a lot we are not getting the chance.

Now the filtering of candidates are based on the rejection but not on selection. Let's consider below 5 persons marks.
  1. Person A has 90% in 10th, 90% in 12th and 90% in bachelor.
  2. Person B has 90% in 10th, 85% in 12th and 90% in bachelor.
  3. Person C has 90% in 10th, 85% in 12th and 85% in bachelor.
  4. Person D has 85% in 10th, 85% in 12th and 85% in bachelor.
  5. Person D has below 85% but has more entrance percentile.
But, all of them got equal marks in the entrance exam may be for govt. job or any field. Do you think, all of them get selected for that field?
The answer is no, because the person who has better track out of those 4 will be selected. And that person is Person A.

Hope this helps you. Feel free to ask any queries you have.
